At the White House my team's goal is to make the administration digital first. We work with multiple departments to provide in-house support including our Social Media and Comms and PR teams. My team is tasked with reaching a variety of demographics with different messaging topics as well as tone. We've developed a number of sub-brands to help organize how we communicate to our audiences. This process includes trying different things typically outside of what the White House has done in the past. We utilize analytics and a/b testing to help us grow our audience and reach. Our efforts increased our POTUS followers by 32.22% or 58.29 Million (17.48% on Facebook, 33.20% on Twitter, and 49.31% on Twitter) and our White House followers by 11.4% or 25.52 Million (37.74% on Facebook, 29.58% on Instagram, and 32.68% on Twitter).
